A "DELUDED" SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT OR AN "IDIOT" UN OFFICIAL

I'm certain my readers will be hit hard by the heading of this write-up but I can assure them that it has nothing to do with my personal sentiments. The above necessitated heading was birthed by the combination of words from two distinct learned men who appeared never to have crossed paths physically but not verbally.
In the latter hours of yesterday, Wednesday, I was surfing the internet as it has always been my usual practice, and it happened that my eyes flashed passed a common but strong word "DELUSION". Curiosity, I delved into the content of the full article having the word "DELUSION" consistently repeated and it was referenced to the state of mind of the Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Ocquaye. According to his fellow Professor, Phillip Alston, who is an official of the UN, the Speaker of Parliament is deluded simply because he's stubbornly determined not to give audience and credence to issues of HOMOSEXUALITY. Mr. Alston said,
"I believe that if he (Speaker of Parliament) thinks there is not a very significant proportion of gay people in Ghana, he is DELUDING himself. You cannot wish away a physical fact. The percentage of gay people in any population is significant."
Clearly, you can now see where the word "DELUDED" surfaced from and to whom it's ascribed. Well, I stand distanced from the Privileges Committee of Parliament having been able to point out who referred to the Speaker of Parliament as a deluded man.
What about the IDIOT?
There is an Akan proverb that literally translate to assert, "Apparently, an old lady has a name but we often than not choose to call her grandma or as the Akans would say" Nana". In fact this proverb is the exact seed carrying an image of the word "Idiot". Sometimes, you may choose not to audibly refer to someone as an " Idiot" but in reality and obviously that is what he or she is. I still owe you a disclosure concerning the UN Official tagged with "IDIOCY" as the heading of this article depict.
One of the most distinct and astute Lawyers in Ghana, Mr. Foh Amoaning, whose succinctness and lucidity in expressing his thoughts drives me so much that I would forfeit anything of worth on any day and at anytime just to listen to him speak on issues. He didn't minced words in responding to statements made by the UN Official, Mr. Alston. The boldness and clarity with which Mr. Amoaning expresses himself makes me wonder whether it has got something to do with the fact that he studied Law. His line of questioning is logically impeccable and he exercises his ability to elicit his desired kind of responses to expose and shame hypocritical persons. As for knowing the right kind of words to use at what times, that's his acquaintance.
Brother Foh, as he is affectionately called, fired verbal nukes in response to the UN Official who thought it wise to tag the Speaker of Ghana's Parliament as "DELUDED".
Though I may be convinced to perceive Lawyer Foh's words as strong and pinching, I cannot be cajole not to measure his choice of words by considering the descriptive tag of " DELUSION" on the Speaker of Parliament. In an interview carried by a media house, Mr. Foh had this to say in his reaction to questions posed by the Interviewer:
" My dear, how would I respond to this IDIOT?"
He continued: " He is so bigoted and to be very honest he's very STUPID I mean every word of it."
At this point, the interviewer felt the hot magma contained in Mr. Foh's words and so tried to get him to retract his words. But, Mr. Foh probed the Interviewer; snorting: " do you understand the word DELUSION...to be deluded? Do you understand that word? You tell me, you are a Journalist, what is the meaning of DELUDED?
He fumed again: "You sit there for a Caucasian to call the Speaker of your Parliament deluded and you are fine with it my dear. When I say he is an IDIOT.... look, I intentionally used that word because I wanted to provoke you, because you see he doesn't provoke you because the language is coming from a white person so you don't see anything wrong with it."
At this point, Mr. Foh had lost equilibrium and so expressed his frustration by these words,
"I am sick and tired of this arrogant bigotry being thrown around by Europeans and because we ourselves are not thinking through these things, we allow them to insult us.....,poke down upon us and to say anything they like.....even Ghanaian Journalists ( are you listening to me) don't seem to appreciate what is happening "

These are not my thoughts but rather facts out there in the public domain. I wish to bring to public light all well detailed expositions I have written on Homosexuality that I have been reluctant to share in Public. But, soon and very soon, I will post online my letters to the Homosexuals and diffuse the hidden homosexualists agenda some persons are forcing on our Society. In some parts of the world, they have succeeded in rendering marriage into the class of a genderless institution and are trying to impose same on us. They are too powerful but that cannot render those who must speak against it feeble and powerless .
