CONDEMNING THE "CONDEMNABLES" AND DEFENDING THE "DEFENDABLES".

When things are right, some of us with "clear" conscience and a "pure" heart will say it; likewise, when things are wrong we will say it without compromising our intellect in identifying the wrongs . Personally ( and I mean personally; not generalizing as Moesha did in her expressions ), I feel outraged by the number of officials working at the Presidency. Last night, there was a released statement from the Presidency indicating that officials at the presidency number up to 998. Though a breakdown was given as indicative of the fact that most of the said officials are civil/public servants and weren't appointed into service by the President, it still doesn't make Economic sense to have such numbers as presidential Staffers. I don't feel comfortable when comparing some of these facts but I recall that during the Mahama-led administration, some of us strongly and critically condemned his administration for having over 750 staffers at the presidency. In principle, it will be hypocritical for same people who condemned over 700 staffers to be straining themselves to offer explanations as to why we now have close to 1000 staffers. On a lighter side, I think we will not even be in need of such numbers when going to war in Iraq. I said same in disagreement to the 110 ministers of state appointed.
Emotions and ill-sentiments takes control of Political minds when issues of this nature comes up for an honest and thorough discussions. The Politicians are always quick to subscribe to their Political Theory of Loyalty and are often quick to rise in support or defense of their Political Party.
I must state that the future of this country supersedes the future of any Politician and for this simple yet essential reason, some of us will condemn the "CONDEMNABLES" when we have to and defend the "DEFENDABLES" when there are convincing reasons to do so. There is a "POSTERITY " to be considered in all our National choices. Politics is not and will never be synonymous to losing one's mind.
God BLESS my Homeland Ghana and HELP my Homeland President to succeed.
