IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN: AN ALLEGORY OF "ENTRAPMENT".

According to the scriptures, a tree was positioned in the garden of Eden and Adam was strongly cautioned not to eat fruits from that tree. For ages now, people have been referencing the tree to be an apple tree for unknown reasons but the scriptures do not confirm this. The tree looked good and its fruits appeared appealing and enticing. Adam struggled on several occasions to avoid the tree and he stayed far away from it in order not to pluck its fruit. Clearly, God gave Adam the opportunity to prove his respect and submissiveness to him by staying away from the fruits produced by the tree. In today's world, it can be said that God entrapped Adam with the tree because he knew it appeared appealing, succulent and not easy to resist attempts to have a feel of its fruit. Can we blame God for the fall of man because his modus operandi in the garden of Eden is a prototype of entrapment?
In today's world, a man is positioned in an office and the code of ethics governing the office is spelled out to him. He's made to understand that stealing, receiving bribes and other forms of monies are forbidden by the code of conducts of the office. To keep him alert and strengthen him, he's further informed that too many people will make an attempt to lure him with bribes and other forms of monies just as God forewarned Adam about the enticing " fruits" of the tree. In the work setting the people who will attempt to bribe us represents the tree in the garden of Eden and the monies they will bring represents the " fruits" produced by the tree. When a man fails to heed to the code of ethics governing the office he occupies and then fall for monies he has been forewarned not to receive, it shows how greedy and selfish his heart has grown. In our society today, it's sad to notice that those who are caught in corrupt acts are the very people whose salaries are oily and fatty. The rich keep stealing so it will be very wrong for us to believe they have been entrapped. Greedy men who are not content in their abundance are those who easily fall for some of these things.
Frankly, if we cannot blame God for the fall of man, then no one can equally blame Anas for the fall of these wealthy men who fell for his crust of bread after being forewarned by the code of conducts of the office they occupy. There are more issues this country needs to focus on.  The masses are disadvantaged and suffering whiles some wealthy and powerful men in positions of trust are stealing bread meant for the poor. What a world!
